Standing Rib Roast

Resting time before cooking 1 hour

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Bone-In Rib Roast
  • Olive Oil (try Caraluzzi's Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
  • Kosher or Sea Salt (try Caraluzzi’s Sea Salt)
  • Salt & Pepper (try Caraluzzi’s Sea Salt & Mixed Pepper Blend)
  • Use a standard meat thermometer

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven to 500 degrees
  • Rub the roast with olive oil and then season it with a generous portion of Salt & Pepper.
  • Leave the roast to sit out at room temperature for an hour before cooking.
  • Place rib roast in pan with bone side down and fat side on top with approximately ¼ inch of water in pan.
  • Place roast in 500 degree oven for 20 minutes
  • Then reduce oven temp to 225 degrees and cook for; 20 minutes per/lb for 1 thru 3 rib roasts; 15 minutes per/lb for 4 thru 7 rib roasts.
  • Check thermometer for temp and check early.
  • For Rare pull at 125 degrees.
  • For for Medium pull at 130-135 degrees.
  • Let stand 15-20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Options:
Can put a mix of carrots, celery and onion in the bottom of the pan. Adds a nice flavor and makes an excellent gravy from the roast drippings.

Holiday Rib Roast Sweepstakes Rules

** Please read these sweepstakes rules carefully. By entering, we will assume that you have read these rules and that you agree to them.

1.         Sweepstakes are hosted by Caraluzzi’s Markets in partnership with Certified Angus Beef LLC.

2.         Sweepstakes are open to all U.S. residents, 18 years of age or older.

3.         Employees of and immediate family of Caraluzzi’s Markets and Certified Angus Beef LLC are ineligible to participate. The term “immediate family” shall include spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.

4.         Odds of winning depend on the total combined number of valid entries received.

5.         Entries must be submitted by the end of the day on December 11, 2022.  Late entries will not be accepted or considered Caraluzzi’s Markets and Certified Angus Beef LLC reserve the right to amend sweepstakes end dates at any time.

6.         Entries will be accepted in-store only. Neither Certified Angus Beef LLC nor Caraluzzi’s Markets accepts any responsibility for entries that are not received for any reason.

7.         Incomplete or Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.

8.         Entries may not contain: (1) information that is deemed to be obscene or lewd; (2) material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including privacy, publicity, or intellectual property; (3) material that is hateful or defamatory; or (4) material that is unlawful or in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state.  Submissions containing such prohibited content and/or otherwise deemed by Caraluzzi’s Markets or Certified Angus Beef LLC, in either’s sole discretion, to be inappropriate, will be disqualified.

9.         All entries will be deemed to be made by the individual that fills out the entry.  Submitting entries via the use of automated devices is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification.

10.       No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or to win.

11.       Winners of sweepstakes will be selected at random by an employee of Caraluzzi’s Markets and their decision shall be final.

12.       Sweepstakes winner(s) will be notified within 48 hours of sweepstakes ending, via email. Winner(s) will have 24 hours to respond and claim their prize.  If selected winner(s) fails to respond within 24 hours, an alternate winner may be chosen at random.

13.       Certified Angus Beef LLC and Caraluzzi’s Markets have the right to publicize the name, likeness and photograph of sweepstakes winner(s), without financial remuneration.

14.       There will be no substitutions for any prizes except at the sole discretion of Certified Angus Beef LLC or Caraluzzi’s Markets. Any substitutions shall be for a prize of similar value.

15.       No prize or part of a prize is exchangeable for cash.

16.       Prizes are not transferable or assignable.

17.       Sweepstakes winner(s) are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes. Please contact a tax specialist should you have questions related to your tax obligations.

18.       Sweepstakes winner(s) may be asked to sign a standard release prior to receiving prize(s).

19.       Neither Facebook, Inc. Twitter or Instagram are affiliated with Certified Angus Beef LLC or Caraluzzi’s Markets, nor its sweepstakes.  Sweepstakes are in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

20.       Entrants are providing information to Certified Angus Beef LLC and not to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

21.       By entering a Sweepstakes, entrants waive any and all claims of liability against Certified Angus Beef LLC, Caraluzzi’s Markets, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and their respective parents, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as a result of entrant’s participation in a sweepstakes.

22.       Both Certified Angus Beef LLC and Caraluzzi’s Markets reserve the right to amend these sweepstakes rules at any time. They may also create rules which will apply to a specific sweepstakes only. If we do this, we will publish the amended sweepstakes rules on the relevant sweepstakes page.

23.       Both Certified Angus Beef LLC and Caraluzzi’s Markets reserve the right to cancel a sweepstakes if there is evidence of hacking, security breach, or other tampering; or if necessary due to any technical problems.
