Barbecue Bean and Cheese Chili

2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
2 Tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. cumin
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 can (28 oz.) crushed or diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
2 cans (14 oz. each) black beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup real bacon bits or crumbled cooked bacon
2 cups (8 oz.) Sargento® Artisan Blends® Shredded Double Cheddar Cheese or Sargento® Traditional Cut Shredded Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, divided


1. Brown ground beef with onions in a 4-quart saucepan 8 to 10 minutes; pour off drippings
2. Stir in chili powder, cinnamon and cumin; cook 1 minute
3. Add barbecue sauce, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and black beans; mix well
4. Bring to a boil over high heat
5. Reduce heat; simmer 20 minutes
6. Stir in 1 cup cheese and bacon bits
7. Ladle into bowls, top with remaining cheese
