


Roasted Romanesco
Romanesco is a unique vegetable that is actually the flower of a variety created in Italy. It has a very eccentric shape that looks similar to a green cauliflower. It has more of a broccoli flavor with a slightly nutty taste and firmer texture.
Ingredients
- 1 Large head Romanesco cut into small stalks like broccoli
- 3 Tbsp Caraluzzi’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Caraluzzi’s Garlic Salt (can use just garlic powder)
- Paprika
- Caraluzzi’s Ground Pepper Blend to taste
- Caraluzzi’s Ground Sea Salt (only really need it if don’t use garlic salt)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Set oven rack to center.
- Spread out Romanesco evenly on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil. Then sprinkle with garlic salt, paprika, pepper and optional salt.
- Put baking sheet in the oven on center rack and bake for 20-25 mins. Looking for it to become tender but not too brown & dried out.
